WTF* is Cyclocross Beginner CX School
WTF* is Cyclocross is a 5-session beginner cyclocross school — a chance for beginners to learn the basics, and for riders with some experience to refresh their skills and provide mentorship to new folx. Updates posted to our Instagram.
(See recaps from 2018 in this post.)
Monthly Rides
The women of Team Laser Cats host monthly rides open to women-identifying riders. Some rides are beginner-focused and feature mini-clinics, others aim for adventure and exploration, and whenever we can, we join up with local or international women’s cycling-related events! They vary from road to off-road pursuits. Watch our Facebook for event details.
We’re also regulars on the Friday morning Coffee Ride from the Paine’s Park trellis (6:45 AM) to Cafe Volo in Manayunk! Chill pace, social road ride.
Philadelphia WTF 100 Series
Several Laser Cats help mentor and lead this series of Sunday rides happening every summer. The rides focus on group riding and skill development in preparation for the Rapha Women’s 100. Join the Women’s 100 Facebook group for more details.

#NOSCRUBSCX
The Laser Cats are known to throw a party now and again…
#NOSCRUBSCX is an annual alleycat featuring off-road destinations and fun challenges throughout the city of Philadelphia. We’ve staked our claim (for now) on the Sunday of Thanksgiving weekend as a day to get together and ride bikes. It’s also a fundraiser for our not only our team’s efforts in community cycling development, but we’ve also donated a portion of the proceeds to Neighborhood Bike Works and the Cadence Youth Cycling organization.

Previous CX Clinics
In collaboration with local pro Arley Kemmerer, Team Laser Cats has hosted an annual women’s cyclocross clinic. In 2016, the clinic was held on July 30th at Ft. Washington State Park.
